The five questions a report must answer
Where is each link? A live URL per placement — not '10 links placed' with no addresses. What anchor was used? What attribute does it carry — dofollow or nofollow? What's the site's authority and traffic? And was it checked live at delivery?
Every completion report we issue answers all five, because those are the questions you'd ask if you were auditing us. Which, by the way, you should.
Verify it yourself — it takes minutes
Open a sample of the URLs. Confirm the link exists, the anchor matches, and the page is indexed. Run the domain through your backlink tool and compare the quoted metrics.
You don't need to audit 100% of a large order. Check 10–20% and anything that looks off. Sampling catches systemic problems, and systemic problems are the ones worth catching.
Three gaps that smell like corner-cutting
No URLs at all, just counts. Authority numbers with no tool named or screenshot shown. And 'guaranteed dofollow' with no attribute column — attributes flip, and a provider who never checks won't notice.
Any of these is a reason to ask pointed questions before ordering more. Good sellers answer them without friction.
Frequently Asked Questions
Check whether your package has a live guarantee. Guaranteed-live packages should replace removed links free; for others, note it and weigh it against reordering.
Forever, ideally. They're your evidence trail for disputes, refunds and future audits.
